TED Talks, begun in 1984, are short, engaging video presentations available on YouTube, that share ideas and knowledge on a wide range of engaging and relevant topics, including Technology, Entertainment, History, Design, Science, Business, Cultural and Global Issues. Video Talks are given by experts from a variety of fields, including scientists, researchers, historians, technologists, cultural influencers, educators, business leaders, artists, and designers.
Building on the success of "The Best TED Talks” SDG in Fall 2025, 2.0 presenters will engage in a limited lottery of Talks' titles with descriptions provided in advance. Each presenter will then provide a Study Guide and additional questions based on two short Talk-related articles to all SDG participants to stimulate their discussion. Come prepared to earnestly research, explore and consider how these short, easily accessible TED video messages reflect and influence our rapidly changing society. We will analyze current cultural themes to further our understanding of why these highly viewed TED Talks topics continue to resonate and remain pivotal in our everyday lives. Be willing and ready to seriously research and contribute.
