The election is almost here! Amazing! Fantastic! It's about time!!!!
We have spent two terms enthusiastically studying all aspects of this election, starting with understanding all the candidates who entered the races, studying who votes and why, trying to understand the impact of the media (both traditional and social), and preparing for the November denouement. Now we'll follow the events leading up to the election and analyze the election results.
Potential topics include: the California ballot (candidates and ballot measures) , understanding the candidates, the differences between PAC ads and campaign ads, hottest races across the country, divisive issues, what's happening to the national parties, the Supreme Court (all this before the election). After the election we'll concentrate on analyses of results in California and across the country, with an emphasis on which polls & pollsters were effective and why and the impact of choices.
